Box 30 performed with a free-standing kickboxing bag, designed exclusively for this class, using boxing gloves and/or shin pads for optional protection. Each ‘round’ (track) used in Box 30 assimilates the use of Boxing, Muay Thai and Kickboxing through simple combinations, which are intense and dynamic. The Rounds are also combined with 1 minute cardio and full body muscle strengthening exercises.

Great stress-release, and a fun way to release the inner-fighter in you!

Getting fit with Box 30 and Box 45

Combined with other exercise you do in the gym, Box 30 and Box 45 are best attended once per week. The Box45 class breaks down the movements with more emphasis on teaching. If you’re feeling confident with your moves head along to Box30 for a fast-paced action packed experience!

Cardiovascular fitness improves tenfold with this high impact class. You will soon find your coordination improves and each week you will become faster and fitter!

A usual class consists of

A group warm up kicks the class into gear!  You will learn correct boxing techniques and combinations, along with some power of the distinctive style of Muay Thai. Throughout the class you will be instructed through a range of high intensity interval style movements to get your heart racing and muscles conditioning. To wrap it all up, this great workout finishes with a cool down, including stretches to bring your heart rate down before you head out to finish off your day.

What you need to bring to your class

Come along in comfortable gym wear that is easy to move in. You will be provided with boxing gloves – however if you have your own you are more than welcome to bring them along. A drink bottle and towel are mandatory, as you will need them!

Power Cardio

PowerCardio is based off the Power Class template. The difference is PowerCardio includes two high intensity cardio tracks in the middle of your weights workout. This is a whole body workout that is based off the principles of muscular overload and Aerobic Fitness. PowerCardio will tone and strengthen your whole body creating lengthened and shaped muscles. The cardio tracks will get your heart pumping creating a challenging combination of aerobic fitness and strength. During the class you will have the choice of what weight you add onto your bar with the encouragement from your instructor and guidance to push your limits to get results.

Getting fit with PowerCardio

PowerCardio will build not only your muscular endurance fitness, but also will get your heart pumping to build your cardiovascular fitness. Use the cardio tracks to send your heart rate through the roof and then burn maximum calories through the challenging weights tracks. As you make more of a routine coming to classes, you will begin to think it’s ‘easy’. That means it’s time to increase the weights so you continue to reap the benefits of the class. PowerCardio is best to be participated in once per week.

The best benefit of a group fitness class is being in a fun and motivating environment exercising with others towards a common goal! With PowerCardio, you will become stronger, leaner and you metabolic rate will increase. This means you will start to burn fat faster even when you’re not exercising! With the added stress on your muscles, your bones will also become more dense and strong. You will get fitter in no time!

A usual class consists of…

A warm up consisting of all your major muscles groups will get the class started. This is followed by 3 blocks of exercise working the whole body  Each block of exercise is made up of a combination of muscles groups and repeated three times, giving you the chance to add on more weight! Two cardio tracks will be added into the workout between the weights tracks to mix things up and push your body out of its comfort zone! Then abdominal conditioning, a cool down and much deserved stretch finish the class off. There are 4 possible PowerCardio formats –  Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta. Each have their own challenges and this keeps things interesting and muscles constantly developing.

What you need to bring to your class

Make sure you come along in comfortable gym wear that is easy to move in. A sweat towel and waterbottle will also come in handy. All equipment required for the class is here at the gym waiting for you to arrive – steps, barbells, safety clips, plates and dumbells. If you have experience in this style of training you are welcome to also bring along grip gloves – but these are not a necessity.

Power is a barbell based weights class focusing on increasing muscle strength and endurance. This is a whole body workout that is based off the principle of muscular overload. Power will tone and strengthen your whole body creating lengthened and shaped muscles. Motivating current music sets the backdrop to a challenging workout where you determine the results. During the class you will have the choice of what weight you add onto your bar with the encouragement from your instructor and guidance to push your limits to get results

Getting fit with Top Ride

Top Ride will improve your aerobic fitness and build strength and endurance through all your lower body muscles. The more often you attend a Top Ride class, the faster and fitter you will become. We recommend attending two classes per week to get all the benefits of the class.

The benefits of Top Ride

Our varied, fun and very motivating Top Ride classes help you burn fat and relieve stress quickly and effectively, working aerobically for 50 minutes. Mainly tones buttocks and legs, making a great improvement of Cardio Circulatory and Respiratory Systems. And you can burn up to 600 calories in just one class!

What you need to bring to your class

You will need comfortable gym gear suitable to cycle in. Cycling shorts and cleat shoes are recommended but not a necessity. Spin bikes with adaptable settings and adjustments are provided. If its your first time attending Top Ride, let the instructor know and they will help you prepare your bike for the best ride. There are 20 bikes in our top Ride studio, so it is a necessity for all attendees to book their seat at reception.

A usual class consists of

A team warm-up gets everyone started and introduced to the correct cycling positions you will use during the class. Then there are 3 formats your class could follow: race focused, climb focused of ‘full day’ (which is a mix of both). Throughout the class you will be instructed what gear to use and how fast to cycle. Your instructor will lead the whole class (or team as we say) through the workout. There is no coordination required and you are have control over the intensity of your workout. Class finished with a slow ride to cool down and stretch for all your tired muscles.

ExoCircuit

ExoCircuit is a circuit style class which incorporates cardio and strength training, as well as core and abdominal exercises. Created on site by our very own talented team of fitness experts, ExoCircuit uses a combination of body weight exercises as well as fitness equipment to give you a workout that is efficient and effective, toning and defining your muscles and giving you a great calorie burn!

Getting fit with ExoCircuit

Due to the classes being circuit based there are a range of different benefits you can get from ExoCircuit. Your strength and cardiovascular fitness will both definitely improve. You may also improve in balance, coordination and agility.

The benefits of ExoCircuit

This circuit class is suitable for any fitness level. There is no coordination required and you can work to your own ability throughout the whole class – with a bit of encouragement from your instructor. Along with your fitness improving from the class, you will find your mental strength also improves, as sometimes that one minute long station can seem like forever!

What you need to bring to your class

You will need to come along in comfortable gym gear that is easy to move in. A drink bottle and towel are also highly recommended. All other equipment will be provided- you’ll be using: hurdles, skipping ropes, speed ladders, steps, dumbbells, kettle bells, powerbags and much more!

A usual class consists of

There will be a group warm up to prepare your body and mind for the workout ahead. This is followed by a demonstration of 8 stations that consist of your 1st Round. Stations alternate between cardio specific and strength specific. You will then start on a station with up to 3 others. You work here for one minute and then the loud ‘beep’ indicates you move on the next station. Once you have completed all of round 1, you get a well-deserved breather – during this time your instructor indicates the exercises that make up the 2nd Round. In total there are 3 rounds of circuits consisting of 8 stations each. Abdominal conditioning focuses on strengthening the core muscles, then a cool down and stretch finishes off a 45 minute circuit blast.

Come along in gym gear that allows you to move easily. You will also need a drink bottle and a sweat towel. Your steps will be waiting for you; it is up to you to decide how high you want to step!

Yoga is a great complimentary workout and just a bit of a break from the hustle and bustle of day to day life. Yoga is simply a great way to de-stress, keep you mind quiet and work on the overall function of your body. Each yoga pose has specific physical and mental benefits. On a spiritual level the goal of Yoga is to balance body, mind and spirit. On a physical level the goal Yoga is to lengthen, stretch and strengthen muscles throughout the body.

This class consists of a series of Yoga poses and breathing practices. Your instructor will choose a focus for the class, be it hamstrings, hip mobility, fluidity, power Yoga, core strength, relaxation, balance…and the list goes on! You will be guided through the poses with options given for more advanced students and each Yoga class finishes with Savasana or relaxation. You will leave Yoga feeling relaxed and have a sense of accomplishment ready to take on the rest of the day.

Pilates is for everyone. Young or old, male or female everyone is welcome. Whether you are recovering from an injury or trying to stay fit while pregnant, Pilates caters to a very diverse range of participants. Each movement is adaptable to help you increase your core connections while also helping you to look and feel better. Although the class is called a Pilates mat class, the exercises can be performed in standing, sitting, and lying positions. You won’t know your core muscles true potential until you try a Pilates class!

Exercises using equipment such as resistance bands and Power Circles can be incorporated into a Pilates mat class, to add variety and expand levels of intensity. The 6 main principles a Pilates class is based on are: breathing, centering, concentration, control, precision and flow.

What you need to bring to your class

Come along in gym gear that you are comfortable in and is easy to move in. Mats are provided however you are welcome to bring your own. Accessories including bands, straps, blocks and rings are all provided.
