ExoCircuit is a circuit style class which incorporates cardio and strength training, as well as core and abdominal exercises. Created on site by our very own talented team of fitness experts, ExoCircuit uses a combination of body weight exercises as well as fitness equipment to give you a workout that is efficient and effective, toning and defining your muscles and giving you a great calorie burn!

Getting fit with ExoCircuit

Due to the classes being circuit based there are a range of different benefits you can get from ExoCircuit. Your strength and cardiovascular fitness will both definitely improve. You may also improve in balance, coordination and agility.

The benefits of ExoCircuit

This circuit class is suitable for any fitness level. There is no coordination required and you can work to your own ability throughout the whole class – with a bit of encouragement from your instructor. Along with your fitness improving from the class, you will find your mental strength also improves, as sometimes that one minute long station can seem like forever!

What you need to bring to your class

You will need to come along in comfortable gym gear that is easy to move in. A drink bottle and towel are also highly recommended. All other equipment will be provided- you’ll be using: hurdles, skipping ropes, speed ladders, steps, dumbbells, kettle bells, powerbags and much more!

A usual class consists of

There will be a group warm up to prepare your body and mind for the workout ahead. This is followed by a demonstration of 8 stations that consist of your 1st Round. Stations alternate between cardio specific and strength specific. You will then start on a station with up to 3 others. You work here for one minute and then the loud ‘beep’ indicates you move on the next station. Once you have completed all of round 1, you get a well-deserved breather – during this time your instructor indicates the exercises that make up the 2nd Round. In total there are 3 rounds of circuits consisting of 8 stations each. Abdominal conditioning focuses on strengthening the core muscles, then a cool down and stretch finishes off a 45 minute circuit blast.
